"Amount of Time it has Saved... is Amazing."
This software has taken our company to a whole new level with our necessary documents. We have improved our compliance as we can now monitor and require that all documents are reviewed at least annually, and we can now track which employees have actually read the documents that govern their job.
The amount of time it has saved in getting documents through the review and approval process is amazing. We have also found that we can use this software for much more than just the policies and procedures. We are looking at housing job descriptions, employee handbook, and computer based trainings on this software which makes it well worth the money spent. So far we have been very happy.

"Took Our Policy Management to a Whole New Level"
Before going with Policy and Procedure Manager we tried a different solution. It was not getting the job done as far as having policy renewals and allowing people to find what they were looking for. Policy and Procedure Manager took our policy management to a whole new level as far as when you create a new procedure. You can send it to the users, make them read it, make them required readers, and put quizzes on that procedure.
One of the things that auditors used to ask us before we started using Policy and Procedure Manager is if all of the users read the information systems policy manual. We would say that they did and they would ask where the proof was. We did not have any proof. Now that we have Policy and Procedure Manager, we make a chapter a month available to users. It is required that everyone reads the document. After they have read the document, users take a quiz on the material. The quiz results are the proof that we can now hand auditors showing that employees have read and understand our policies and procedures.

"Puts our Mind at Ease"
Policy and Procedure Manager has been very helpful. We are confident employees know where the policies are available and that we are covered both in a quality and legal manner because the policies are all up to date. From an administrative level it puts our mind at ease knowing every employee has the same information.
It has really saved time both from the administrative side of just creating the policies but also in the employee side as well we know that the employees have read those "must-read" policies.
I like the fact that Policy and Procedure Manager is in a Word format that non-technical users can get in and use in a format they are used to. They can go in and create a document without have to learn a new word-processing or other application.

"Software is User Friendly."
The PolicyTech software is user friendly. Because Policy and Procedure Manager uses Microsoft Word employees are comfortable with the program and they do not have to learn new software to write their procedures.
The audit trails are another big feature. We have to comply with the College of American Pathologists, SDA, ADD and the Joint Commission Accreditation. When we go through an inspection our investigators will be impressed.

"Quiz Feature"
Policy and Procedure Manager is wonderful. We are a city. We sometimes get sued by employees who were terminated. With the quiz feature in the Policy Manager there is no way employees can come back and say they didn't understand the policy because they passed the quiz. That is a very appealing feature to us.
It's a wonderful tool for our employees to make sure that they understand and have access to our policies and that we know they understand the policies and procedures.

When our OSHA inspector wanted to see our procedures, I showed him how to navigate Policy & Procedure Manager, and then he looked at all our stuff on his own. The operators had only had a few weeks of working with it (Policy & Procedure Manager) when we had the audit, and they (the auditors) were able to find the information that they needed without any problems.
It's Great. I can go on forever.
Some of the positives of PolicyTech's software package include:

- All the revisions get done within the PPM - there aren't 16 versions floating around that you can't remember what was changed when
- The operators only have access to the one official version
